The Ministry of Civil Defence, Emergencies and Disaster Relief is a federal agency under the executive branch responsible for drafting and implementing national policy and legal regulation, as well as the monitoring and supervision of civil defence, protection of the public and property from natural and man-made disasters and the supervision of fire and water safety.
