The Federal Agency for Sea and Inland Water Transport is a federal body of executive authority rendering state services, managing state property in the sphere of sea and inland water transport, including fishing seaports, for transport sector development purposes.
The Federal Agency for Sea and Inland Water Transport has the following functions:
• rendering socially important state services, including those for implementing inter-state and federal target programmes, to an unspecified number of individuals in line with federal legislation;
• issuing individual legal acts on the basis and in execution of the Russian Federation's Constitution, federal laws, decrees and executive orders of the Russian Federation's President, Government and Transport Ministry.
