The Federal Road Agency is a federal body of executive authority responsible for providing public services and managing state property in the sphere of road transport and road infrastructure.

The Agency implements intergovernmental and federal target programmes, and issues legislative acts based on and in fulfilment of the Constitution of the Russian Federation, federal constitutional laws and federal laws, as well as acts and directives of the Russian President, the Russian Government and Russia's Transportation Ministry.

The Agency is in charge of improving the condition of roads and developing the federal roads network.
