The Federal Service for Financial Markets is a federal body of executive authority responsible for legal regulation, control and supervision of financial markets (excluding banking and audit activities), including regulation and supervision of insurance provider activity, credit cooperation and microfinance, commodity markets, exchange intermediaries and brokers, as well as government control over compliance with Russian law on preventing insider trading and market manipulation.
